What is the minimum age to join?
You need to be 16 years and older to join Group Fitness. The exception to this will be the designated hours for 11 – 16-year-olds. This age group will be in supervised with designated hours/sessions. This provides the best quality of instruction and enjoyment for the individual.

Do you offer Student memberships?
Yes, we have monthly student membership plans available. Student memberships will be verified at the club and full-time student ID must be provided on attendance. Please refer to our join now page for more details.
How much do classes cost?
Prices vary. If you take out a paid membership you do pay no additional cost.
If you’re a PAYG member, you will pay either £3.00 or £4.75 depending on what day and at what time you will attend the class.

If I join today, when will my membership start?
All memberships commence on the date of purchase.
If I cancel my Anytime membership, do I immediately lose access to classes?
No, it stays live until the date of when you next payment would have been.
For example if you signed up on the 9th June and you decide to cancel on the 14th September, you will have access to classes until the 9th October without being charged again.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership level? Am I charged immediately?
Click the orange “View” button on the right, then scroll down the page to the orange “Upgrade or Downgrade” button.
If you’re downgrading a membership, you will not be charged the new price until the next monthly payment date.
If you’re upgrading a new membership, you will be charged the new price immediately and this will be your new monthly payment date.
Was your membership transferred from the Studio Zone Fitness website? You won’t be able to upgrade or downgrade in your account – you’ll need to contact us to ask us to do this for you.
Are class places limited?
Cycling class places are limited due to bike numbers (16). At present, all other classes are limited to 28 places.
Members will at all times be encouraged to visit the website to observe the timetable and book classes.
Timetables will be subject to, and reviewed on participation per class. The timetable will be reviewed every 3 months with new and different classes being introduced where demand arises.
Is equipment provided?
Yes, there is equipment available for all classes, personal training sessions and open training sessions.
Will I be shown how to use the equipment?
Yes of course. We have a team of highly qualified and friendly staff who will show you safe and fun ways to enjoy your experience at Group Fitness.
Members consistently abusing the equipment and not using the equipment in a correct manner will be asked to leave immediately and membership fees will be forfeited.
How do I book in for a class?
If you join as a paid member, you can book a class at no additional cost.
If you join as a PAYG member you can also browse the classes and book in, only you will be charged at checkout.
I haven’t booked, can I still come along?
Yes, you can still pop along on the day. We offer a PAYG service. However, classes do get busy at peak times so pre-booking is advised.
When should I arrive for class?
Please arrive in plenty time to sign in and get ready for class. Classes will start promptly.
What do I need to bring with me?
Participants are encouraged to bring water and a towel to class.
What is your lateness policy?
Latecomers will be permitted to enter class at the individual instructors discretion. However, as a general rule, after the warm up you will not be permitted to enter.
Why do I have to check-in each time?
Staff need to check-in members and check membership status at all times for Health & Safety and Insurance reasons. Members who are pending or have lapsed are not allowed in until the relevant payment has been made.
Is personal training extra?
Yes, personal training costs extra. Ask us for more information.
Are there changing facilities in Group Fitness?
There is a small partitioned area for changing with lockers provided for small valuables such as keys, wallets purse, small bag.
There is a small members lounge where members can mix, relax and enjoy a coffee. Group Fitness is not liable for any items lost or stolen from lockers.
Group Fitness is not liable for any items lost or stolen on its premises for any reason whatsoever.
The Member is solely responsible for safekeeping their personal belongings on the premises.
Do you have shower facilities?
Do you supply paper towel dispensers to wipe down equipment?
Members are encouraged to bring their own towels and water/drinks for all sessions/classes. There will be vending machines providing light refreshments.
Where do I park when I come to Group Fitness?
There is car parking available to the front of the building all day and evening. There are extra spaces provided to the side of the building in the evening. There are 25 spaces to the side and rear of the building.
What times does Group Fitness open?
Members will be asked to leave the studio floor 15 mins prior to advertised time to facilitate staff cleaning before closing time.
Members are not insured before opening or after closing times and therefore cannot be allowed in the studio outside these times.
Will I be issued with a membership card by Group Fitness?
Membership cards will be issued for all membership types including Pay As You Go (PAYG).
How do I renew or keep my membership rolling from month to month?
Memberships are automatically renewed at the end of the subscription term.
Group Fitness will process a direct debit charge against your credit/debit card details (which you provided to us when you joined online). Charges depend on the type of membership you have with us.
Please ensure that you keep your credit/debit card details on your account updated so there are no problems when it comes to automatic membership renewals.
Please note if your renewal payment fails the system will automatically attempt to re-run the payment 1 day after the initial attempt. If this attempt fails, we will re-try again 3 days after initial attempt and if the 3rd re-try fails, your account will be marked as unpaid and your account locked from making class bookings.
Is the website secure when I join online?
Yes, our Join Now and Members sections of the website is secure. Group Fitness processes and stores your personal and billing information securely.
I can’t remember my login details. Can you reset them?
Login details are private details only for the members use and are case sensitive. When a member joins online, the member inputs their own information which should be kept safe.
If you have lost or forgotten your login details, please use our Forgotten Password page. Group Fitness do not know your log in details so cannot have your details sent out to you.
Can I change or cancel my membership type?
Yes, please speak to one of our friendly staff who will assist you if you wish to upgrade or downgrade.

I paid online with PAYG but wasn’t able to make it to the class. What happens now?
Unfortunately, all payments are final. Please make sure you can attend a class before booking and paying for a class online. If you missed the class due to accident or injury we can make an exception and refund you.
I’m concerned about the security of my card details on your system.
We use TLS (https) to ensure confidentiality and to ensure that sensitive data is protected during transmission over the internet.
I was automatically logged out after a short period. Why?
This is a security feature. Our system will automatically logout any member after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Do you have WIFI access?
No, we do not currently offer WIFI access.
